Injector AD backflow preventer protect potable water from pollution by bacteria, microbes and viruses. All three models meet the strict criteria of DIN EN 1717 category 5. In contrast to other category 5 protection methods, all Injector AD models do not require electricity, a pump or water tank.

DIN EN 1717 specifies requirements for the protection against pollution of potable water in water installations and for protection devices to prevent potable water pollution by backflow. Category 5 applies to all fluids that may pose a human health hazard due to microbial or viral pathogens and do require protection by air gaps.

Quality features

Its sophisticated nozzle technology (see "How does the protection device work?") enables Injector ADs to bridge an air gap with a precisely defined water jet, which corresponds to a type AD protection device according to DIN EN 1717.

How does the protection device work?

The Injector AD has an air gap built into it, which is bridged on the inlet side with the aid of a precise water jet. The sophisticated nozzle technology is used here in the smallest of spaces. A backflow of potentially polluted water is not possible: the gap is an insurmountable hurdle for the processed water.
