Housing (construction type)
DW/CV Type
DW/CV cylindrical cartridges cover a size range from 10 mm to 20 mm and offer the easiest assembly: they can be inserted into the application device both in the direction of flow and against the direction of flow.
NV/OV Type
NV/OV inserts cover a size range from 10 mm to 50 mm and provide superior flow performance (reduced
headloss). They can only be inserted against the direction of flow but require no retainer (“snap-fit” design with flexible tabs).
OV inserts are also available without snap-fit tabs in 10mm size (OF series) to combine ease of assembly and superior flow performance.

External seal
An external o-ring seal provides effective sealing between the check valve cartridge and the mating cavity into which it is inserted.
NEOPERL® check valves are designed to be directly inserted into your application device to save the space and cost of an additional fitting.

Closing system
Guidance
Center stem guidance optimizes the return of the plunger head into its seat for effective sealing and to prevent jamming even in hard water conditions.

|

|
Spring
Standard NEOPERL® check valves are spring loaded to ensure reliable operation in any position of installation and fast positive sealing even in low backpressure conditions.
Selected check valve models are available with lighter or stronger spring loads to achieve specific opening pressures or tightness in the direction of flow.

Plunger and internal seal
A low inertia flat-headed plunger with captured or molded o-ring is standard in most
DW/CV type cartridges and is ideal to provide fast closing and reliability in high backpressure conditions.
In selected models a cavity located in the center of the plunger head enables dual check valve mounting without a spacer between the two independent acting check valves.
|
 |
A profiled low inertia plunger is used in most NV/OV type inserts which helps maximize flow performance by reducing headloss and vibrations.
A unique molded lip-seal located inside the check valve body is combined with the profiled plunger to optimize sealing performance even in very low backpressure conditions.
