Construction, performance and endurance
ANSI/ASME A112.18.1M, CSA B125

Criteria applicable to faucet aerators and attachments include:
  • Toxicity evaluation: compliance with ANSI/NSF 61
  • Requirements for plating adhesion and corrosion resistance (ASTM B456)
  • Minimum working temperature and pressure conditions: 150ºFand 125 psi
  • Maximum flow rate requirements:
          Lavatory faucet  2.2 gpm max @ 60 psi
Sink faucet  2.2 gpm max @ 60 psi
Public lavatory faucet (non-metering)  0.50 gpm @ 60 psi
Metering faucet  0.25 gpc @ 60 psi
Showerhead  2.5 gpm @ 80 psi
Tub filler spout  No restriction
