NEOPERL® introduces SDV, a modular cartridge designed to handle the circulation of flow between the spout and the side spray of kitchen faucets: when the side spray is activated, SDV diverts the flow from the spout to the spray and back to the spout when the side spray is released.The SDV construction integrates a backflow preventer so there is no need for an additional check valve or vacuum breaker. SDV also provides a pressure compensated flow to the spray head for comfort of use throughout the usual pressure range of 10-100 psi and a positive sealing at the spout end (no dripping while using the side spray). Faucet manufacturing has become easier, thanks to radial sealing with O-rings, a simple mating cavity is all it takes to integrate SDV into a new faucet or retrofit an existing one, two-handle and single lever kitchen faucets alike: one universal cartridge fits them all! Additionally, SDV operates silently (no water hammer) in all position, flushes debris automatically for added reliability, offers superior lime resistance (all moving parts are plastic and rubber unlike metallic components prone to lime build up). If ever needed SDV can be easily removed from the faucet body using the holes in the upper tabs.
