   New Junior size aerators
Marie-Helene Pernin

NEOPERL’s range of Junior size faucet attachments has recently been completed with the addition of laminar and spray devices to produce the same range of streams (aerated, laminar and spray) covered today by Regular size aerators.

The new inserts are compatible with all existing NEOPERL® small thread housings including small male (13/16”-27 UNS-2B), small male with tightening groove (13/16”-27 UNS-2B) and small female (3/4”-27 UNS-2B ).

Junior size faucet attachments offer a visually attractive alternative for new faucet designs and thinner spout necks and are compatible with high flow and low flow applications. Junior size aerators have traditionally been used in lavatory faucets but the addition of laminar and spray devices opens the door to applications in commercial and institutional fittings as well as designer faucets.

The new Perlator® Junior laminar inserts produce a distinctive crystal-clear stream and can be easily recognized from the existing aerated models with their white colored basket ring, following the color scheme developed earlier for NEOPERL’s line of miniature faucet attachments (Perlator® Tom Thumb®). All new laminar Perlator® inserts are equipped with NEOPERL's unique lime-resistant Honeycomb™ screen.

Color coded protective dome screens will indicate flow rates according to the usual color code:

  • Green dome: 1.5 gpm for water saving applications,
  • Orange dome: 1.5 gpm PCA for water saving applications,
  • Red dome: 2.2 gpm flow restricted,
  • Yellow dome: 2.2 gpm PCA for high performance at low pressure,
  • Blue dome: full flow (unrestricted).

  • Two additional unrestricted laminar stream inserts are also available for applications where low resistance devices are preferred to improve system performance (very low pressure systems) or maximize flow rate:

  • Neostrahl Junior, a traditional stream straightener (no dome, dark gray body)
  • Perlator® Junior Laminar “Max Flow”

Two spray type inserts complete the line for application in public lavatory faucets (non-residential bathrooms exposed to walk-in traffic) where Plumbing Codes require a maximum flow rate of 0.5 gpm, or simply for additional water and energy savings:

  • PCA® Spray Junior 0.5 gpm, lime-green diffuser and white dome
  • PCA® Spray Junior 1.0 gpm, blue diffuser and white dome

  • These 10 new inserts and their combinations with existing small thread housings have been added to NEOPERL’s listings to ANSI/NSF61 as well as to ANSI/ASME A112.18.1M and CSA B125 (when applicable).
